José Miguel Ried

José Miguel Ried is a Commercial LAw Lecturer at Chile’s Pontificia Universidad Católica. He holds a Lae Degree from Chile’s Pontificia Universidad Católica and a LLM from Cornell University Law School. He is a partner at the division of corporate, financial markets law of Guerrero Olivos Abogados. He specializes in the areas of corporate governance, privileged information and both equity and debt capital markets. He has been an associate at the New York offices of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. In house counsel at the Commerce Exchange of Chile. He has published several articles in connection with financial regulation and capital markets. Mr. Ried is a lecturer in capital markets law at the Company Law LLM of Chile’s Pontificia Universidad Católica. He is president of the National Arbitration Centers. Member of the local Bar, the International Bar Association (IBA) and of the Capital Markets Consultation Council of the Ministry of Finance.
