Ignacio Valenzuela Nieto
Ignacio Valenzuela Nieto studied law at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, where he received the Luis Gutierrez Alliende Prize for the best academic performance in commercial law. He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Colombia University, where he was the recipient of the “Beca Chile” and he was Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He was an associate at Carey (Chile) and international associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP (New York York). He is a qualified lawyer in Chile and New York. He is a lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de China and research associate at its Center for International Studies, as well as research associate at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University. His main areas of practice and research are corporate law, corporate governance, and entrepreneurship law.
