José Miguel Azpúrua Alfonzo

José Miguel Azpúrua Alfonzo is an attorney admitted to practice in California, New York and Venezuela. He holds a Law Degree from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Venezuela), Master of Laws (LLM) from New York University School of Law, a Master of Science in Public Policy from the University of London (UCL), and a Master of Laws in Trade Regulation from New York University School of Law (LLM), where he also obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in law and business. He has been a lecturer in business law at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and Professor of Economic Analysis of Law at Universidad Monteávila (Caracas, Venezuela). He was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School, and has worked as a corporate lawyer in several law firms in Venezuela. Currently, he is a candidate for the Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD) Degree at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and is a Partner at Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados in Bogotá, Colombia.
